Incandescent light, energy-saving light, LED light, which is better
So, what are the common types of light sources for lighting fixtures? What are the advantages and disadvantages of different lighting sources? What different spatial occasions are each suitable for? In the future, SUNMORY will count down the classification and characteristics of home lighting sources for you.
First of all, we need to know some key parameters about the light source of the lamp
Luminous flux: The total amount of light emitted by the light source per unit of time. Generally, the greater the power, the higher the luminous efficiency and the higher the luminous flux.
Color temperature: When the color of the light emitted by the light source is the same as the color radiated by the black body at a certain temperature, the temperature of the black body is called the color temperature of the light source.
Color rendering: The average life of the light source to the true color of the object. A group of light sources is lit at the same time. When 50% of the light sources fail, it is the average life of this batch of light sources.
Light efficiency/electro-optical conversion rate: different light sources consume the same amount of electricity at the same time, and how much light is emitted. A light source with high luminous efficiency is more power-efficient than a low-efficiency light source.
The number of strobes: the number of times the light source flickers per second. The higher the strobe, the greater the adverse effect on vision.
Lighting source classification
Incandescent light
The biggest shortcoming of incandescent lamps is their short life span. The use time is generally between 3000 and 4000 hours. Some incandescent lamps of poor quality can only be used for 1500 hours. Incandescent lamps in homes are often used in spaces such as dining rooms and bedrooms, and they look more comfortable in color. The advantage is that the light source is small, and it has a wide variety of lampshade forms; it is versatile, has many colors, and has various forms such as orientation, scattering, and diffusion; it can be used to enhance the three-dimensional sense of objects, and the color light of incandescent lamps is closest to sunlight color.
Tungsten halogen light
The metal halide lamp is a kind of incandescent lamp, and the life span is generally between 3000 and 4000 hours, not more than 6000 hours. This kind of lamp can be used for accent lighting. For example, to highlight the decorative paintings on the wall, indoor decorations, etc., it can be illuminated by cold light cups. The white light of the lamp can be changed according to different home decoration styles, and it is consistent with fashion.
Fluorescent light
The advantage of fluorescent lamps is energy saving. About 60% of the electric energy consumed by fluorescent lamps can be converted into ultraviolet light, and the other energy can be converted into heat energy. Generally, the efficiency of converting ultraviolet light into visible light is about 40%. Therefore, the efficiency of the fluorescent lamp is about 60%×40%=24%-approximately twice that of the tungsten lamp with the same power. The disadvantage is that it will produce light decay, the color rendering of fluorescent lamps is not as good as that of incandescent lamps; the light flickers, which has a certain impact on eyesight; besides, mercury pollution during the production process and after use and disposal, causing environmental pollution.
Energy-saving light
Energy-saving lamps are popular because of their energy saving. A 9-watt energy-saving lamp is equivalent to a 40-watt incandescent lamp. The life of energy-saving lamps is also relatively long, generally 8000 to 10000 hours. After a period of the normal use of energy-saving lamps, the lamp will dim, mainly because of the loss of phosphor, which is technically called light decay. Some high-quality energy-saving lamps invented constant-brightness technology, which can keep the lamp in the best working condition for a long time. After 2000 hours of use, the light decay is less than 10%.
LED light
Also called light-emitting diode, it is a new technology. The white LED lights on the market now have better performance, but the current LED lights still need to be improved technically. LED lights have many advantages, such as small size, low power consumption, long life, non-toxic and environmental protection. They were originally used for the outdoor decoration and engineering lighting, and now they are gradually developing into household lighting.
The disadvantage is that it is expensive and requires a constant current drive. The heat dissipation process is not good and it is easy to light decay. The light efficiency is relatively low, and the color will be missing. Among the seven bands, the blue and green bands of the LED light are relatively small, so there will be missing when displaying the color of things.
